Hans van Tartwijk (1963) started his career at Jackson Cross in Philadelphia, after which he moved to Fortis Property Inc. He worked for the company both in the Netherlands and in the U.S. In 1993, he co-founded T&vT, a full service real estate development and advisory firm with activities and projects throughout Europe. Within T&vT, Hans headed Project Development and Risk Management. In 2008 he founded Scarab Real Estate Solutions Inc. a corporation specializing in risk management strategies, consulting and training for international (mostly Arab) real estate developers and investors. In 2009, Hans co-founded Princeton Property Partners (PPP).
PPP serves both property owners and tenants in the Princeton Area, in optimizing real estate values and costs. Investment advisory and discretionary development services are the main client services that PPP offers.
Hans earned his MBA at Henley University, London and a Master of Real Estate degree at the University of Amsterdam.
Hans served as co-chair and Dutch membership trustee of the European Mixed Use and Office Council of the Urban Land Institute ( ULI ). He has lectured project development / risk management at several Universities and Corporate Trainings. Along with Professors Kohn and Siegel he developed the WTC Amsterdam case study for the Harvard Business School, where he has been a guest lector with Prof. Kohn on several occasions.
He serves or has served on several boards such as the R.C. Schoolboard of Lek & Ijssel, which owns 15 elementary schools. He volunteers at an annual holiday camp for 1500 children. In Washington, he is involved with several charitable organizations. He Co-chairs the annual ‘Green Fair’.
Hans is married to Louise and father of four daughters.
